More than your average iPod dock

We have acquired a limited number of GRIFFIN Tunecenter iPod docks that have been discontinued by the manufacturer. This sleek device will charge your iPod while it is playing through your amp, and allow for remote control of your iPod. Originally retailing at $149, we are offering them to GLOW customers while they last for $38, plus shipping and handling.

What Else Does It Do?

It does all the usual things an iPod docking cradle is supposed to do... it allows display and use of your iPod without having to hook and unhook the cables every time you move the iPod.  But this unit is unlike other docks in several respects. For one, it has the ability to stream internet radio if you also hook it up to your router via ethernet (ethernet cable not included).  So even without being hooked up to your computer, your GLOW amp can stream stations from around the world, with a little help from this dock. 

Another feature is that it can display video content from your iPod on your TV screen, and allows you to select your music via an on screen programming (OSP) function (Audio/Video cable included). You won't strain your eyes peering at the tiny iPod screen in trying to select your tunes.

All this additional functionality requires that the dock be hooked up to your TV via the audio/video cable provided.  In other words, you must hook it up to your amp AND your TV in order to do the on screen programming. Some people like the additional functions, some folks don't care for having to deal with the TV based interface.  In our opinion the OSP interface and video is a nice touch, although the OSP function is not as smooth nor as sophisticated as some we've seen.  And the remote has limited range, compared to some others that utilize RF technology.  Still, this is a nice little device for the price.  We think they will go pretty fast.  This unit is compatible with the following iPod models:
