Amp Two
GLOW took three full years to develop Amp One. With the success of this, our introductory offering, development of Amp Two is fully underway. Amp Two will utilize the same Single Ended circuit design as the Amp One, with additional features to be announced. Please check the GLOW web page often for updates on our expanding product line.

GLOW Loudspeakers
Our much anticipated GLOW loudspeakers are scheduled to be unveiled in early 2008. As with our GLOW amplifiers, our goal is to provide elegant and affordable speakers engineered to sound great. GLOW loudspeakers will be the perfect match for our diminutive Amp One and our soon to be released Amp Two.
The Drivers. We utilize special full range drivers to produce a wide and flat frequency response. The speaker cones are made from bamboo fiber, more rigid and lighter than regular paper cones. These specialized drivers allow us to avoid using an internal crossover device.
Because most speaker drivers do not have full-range ability, the frequency range of the typical loudspeaker must be split between two or more drivers. An electronic device known as a crossover is required to serve as a "gatekeeper", so that the low and high frequencies are delivered to the appropriate drivers. Designing a good crossover is a difficult task, because the crossover point is usually in the mid range frequencies, where the ear is most likely to detect it. Even in top rated loudspeakers the transition is rarely seemless.
Crossovers can be problematic for other reasons; creating difficult loads for many amplifiers and introducing poor phase alignment and other anomalies. This is not to say that multi-driver speakers are inherently inferior. In fact, we use some particularly good (and quite expensive) multi-driver monitors to test our sound, because these models are so well designed. That can't be said for many of the "bargain" multi-driver speakers that are commercially available today.
Our speakers have the ability to provide a wide and flat frequency response without a crossover, and without taking up much space, which we think is very good. The drivers are small in diameter and utilize a specially designed phase plug, (the silver bullet looking object in the middle of the driver), so the dispersion is excellent, improving off-axis response. No crossover in our speaker means a smoother and more natural sound from a smaller enclosure, less complexity and less cost to you.
The GLOW Sub One. While our loudspeakers sound great as is, if you want to experience the feeling that only a deep bass response can provide, you might consider using our small speakers with our perfectly matched GLOW Sub One powered subwoofer. Some of you may not require deep bass response (for example in a small room or office) and would consider our smooth sounding small speakers all you need. But if you do want to feel the bass, then we recommend use of the GLOW Sub One, to be released for sale in North America in 2008. Approximately 9" square, our sub is definitely an over-achiever.
